WHO WE ARE: BRANDI HORTON
We are committed to help you lead and live fully in this season -- while preparing for the next.
Brandi Horton is an ordained elder in the Texas Annual Conference of the United Methodist Church. Since 2014, she has served churches in the greater Houston area in a variety of roles, including senior pastor. She currently serves as the Executive Pastor at St. Paul’s United Methodist Church. It is from this wide range of experiences and deep love for the local church that she leads.
In addition to her work within the local church, Brandi has held volunteer leadership positions within her Annual Conference and beyond, including serving for eight years on the Executive Committee of the Board of Ordained Ministry. Brandi was a contributor to We Pray With Her and Speaking Truth, both compilations of devotionals written by women in ministry. Most recently, she worked with her Annual Conference to dream and implement a new vision centered around five congregational markers of thriving. These markers came from a grant funded by the Lilly Endowment called The Parish Project. Brandi currently serves as one of The Parish Project’s co-facilitators.
Brandi is a systems thinker and is always looking to learn. This gift of curiosity and desire to synthesize information has served her well in working with congregations. She has a BA from Texas A&M University (English, Political Science) and an MDiv from Duke University Divinity School. Since 2014, she has completed Advancing Pastoral Leadership and the Courageous Leadership Imperative both funded by the Lilly Endowment. She is now working on a DMin in Church Leadership Excellence at Wesley Theological Seminary.
Outside of work, Brandi enjoys reading, exercising, and spending time with her husband and their two children.
